Learn detailed, first-hand information from three technology professionals using these open-source content management systems to power their online businesses
                             Dear Publishing Colleague,
Content management systems are designed to simplify the lives of content producers and online publishers by allowing them to publish content to websites or mobile devices.
Many of these systems allow the content creators to submit their content without having to understand the HTML involved.
As open source content management systems gain prominence over their proprietary counterparts, have you considered making the switch? And with the number of CMSs available how can you decide which one is right for your online business and skill set?
On September 21st, 2010 at 12:30 ET, join us for our WordPress vs. Drupal vs. Telligent 90-minute webinar that discusses each CMS and the features and benefits they offer content publishers.

                             The Open Source Revolution
If software's source code is published and made available to the public so anyone can copy, modify or redistribute the code without paying royalties or fees, it is considered to be open source software. Many modern content producers and publishers have followed this method because they fall into a similar open source culture where they share free content.
The Internet was a major factor in the spread of open source software. Opening the source code created a self-enhancing range of production models, communication paths and interactive communities.
Today, many publishing platforms use this methodology. From daily, niche publications to personal blogs, open source software has brought a sense of simplicity to the often-complex world of HTML code. But with all of the options brought to online publishers, do you know which open-source software products align the best with your content and your business model?
